About Us

Your Peaceful Retreat
In the Heart of Ocala’s Horse Country

At Blue Horse Ranch, everything begins with a girl and a horse.

Years ago, Kat’s daughter Ava attended a summer horse camp — just a simple adventure to fill the long days. But what started as a childhood pastime became a lifelong passion. She fell in love with the sport of eventing, trading playgrounds for pastures and weekends for show rings.

As Ava’s riding career blossomed, so did her connection to Ocala. Each year from February to April, the family made the pilgrimage south for training and competitions. And each year, it was harder to leave.

By 2023, the pull of Ocala’s wide-open skies, rolling paddocks, and kind-hearted horse community was undeniable. That fall, we discovered the property that would become Blue Horse Ranch — a hidden gem nestled in the heart of horse country. It needed vision, care, and a whole lot of elbow grease. We brought all three.

Today, Blue Horse Ranch is not only a fully renovated vacation retreat — it’s also a working farm. We care for our own livestock and grow hay right here on the property, staying true to the rhythms of rural life in Ocala.

Whether you’re showing at the World Equestrian Center, trail riding through Spanish moss, or simply seeking a peaceful escape, we’ve been in your boots — literally. We understand the early mornings, the thrill of the arena, and the deep love for horses that binds it all together.

Blue Horse Ranch isn’t just a place to stay. It’s a place to breathe, reset, and feel like you’ve come home — even if just for a little while.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This place deserves 10 stars!!! This home was a dream and hands down the best Airbnb I have ever stayed in! It was beautiful, peaceful and fit our large party perfectly. Chris was a wonderful host and extremely communicative before and during our stay. And he even provided some fantastic local recommendations. This home is prepared with everything you could possibly need and more. Especially if you plan on cooking/grilling with your party. The location was great, we spent the weekend at Rainbow Springs and it was a very easy ride over. There’s so much to do in the surrounding area we couldn’t fit it all in one weekend. We really appreciate Chris having us for the 4th of July weekend. It truly was the serene break we needed from the city. Looking forward to visiting again in the future!
